Hi, I’m Tong.
Across my roles as a qualitative design researcher, graphic designer, industrial designer, and UX designer, I've focused on crafting experiences that promote inclusivity in technology, and I've found my passion for deep user research in service of bettering the lives of users. As a designer whose design decisions are guided by research, being comfortable with the unknown is commonplace in research and development. I believe in the power of delving into people’s real-life experiences for elegant solutions.
My experiences span across research institutions like the Royal College of Art (RCA) and tech companies like Huawei. At Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design at the Royal College of Art, I currently work as an Inclusive Design Researcher. I also engage with the Executive Education team as a course facilitator.
I graduated from the RCA and Imperial College London with a dual MA/MSc in Global Innovation Design in 2022. Before that, I studied BA Design at LICA, Lancaster University.
